The Landings lagoon system and its importance to our area’s ecosystem will be the topic of the CCA of Skidaway’s May meeting and seminar to be held on Monday, May 14, at St. Peter’s Church beginning at 7:00 pm. Sean Burgess, The Landings Association’s Environmental Manager, will be the featured speaker. Sean will also give attendees an update on the work being done on the sprayfield off McWhorter, as well as other areas of local interest. Sean will offer an overview of The Landings lagoon system design, function and uses. In addition, he will take a look at the fishery management programs created jointly by CCA and The Landings Association that have produced one of the best freshwater fisheries in our area.
