Celebrate Conservation! 2026 Oyster Roast
Get ready for one of Skidaway’s favorite traditions! The annual CCA Skidaway Oyster Roast is set for December 13th 
from 2-4 PM at the Landings Harbor Picnic Area, bringing together friends, neighbors, and conservation supporters for a memorable day of great food, live entertainment, and community spirit.
This much-anticipated event offers something for everyone, from seafood lovers and barbecue fans to families looking for a fun day outdoors. Guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast featuring steamed oysters, steamed clams, and crab legs, along with pulled pork barbecue and hot dogs for the kids. A delicious selection of sides—including macaroni and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, and chips—will round out the menu. Complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks, and water will also be available.
The festivities extend well beyond the food. Roger Widner will provide live entertainment, performing with his acoustic guitar and bringing a great soundtrack to the afternoon. Guests can also try their luck with door prizes and enjoy a variety of yard games throughout the event.
Admission for adults is $100 per person or $190 per couple. Children ages 5 through 13 are $25, making this a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy the day together.
There is also an exciting opportunity to take home a prize of your own through the CCA Georgia raffle! The featured prize is a 15-foot DGB skiff powered by a 50-horsepower Yamaha outboard and complete with a trailer. Raffle tickets are $25 each, or five for $100. It is a chance to support coastal conservation while dreaming of future days on the water. (To purchase raffle tickets on line scan the QR code, tickets will also be available on the day of the event)
Most importantly, the Oyster Roast is about more than good food and fellowship. Proceeds benefit Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) Georgia and Skidaway’s marine conservation efforts and fishing lagoons. Funds raised help support the conservation work that protects our coastal resources and helps preserve opportunities for future generations to enjoy fishing and the outdoors.
