Fishing for cobia and other seasonal varieties in the waters around Southeastern Georgia will be the topic of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) of Skidaway’s April meeting and seminar to be held on Monday, April 9, at St. Peter’s Church beginning at 7:00 pm. Captain Brian Woelber, owner of One More Cast Charters and a favorite CCA presenter, will be the featured speaker.
Specializing in redfish, a.k.a. spot tail bass, tarpon, sheepshead, trout, flounder, striper, cobia, and sharks, Capt. Brian has been called the best inshore fishing guide in the area. A past winner of the Savannah Red Trout Tournament and the Pro/Am Celebrity Red Bone Classic, he affirms that he has had the pleasure of being a full time charter captain both inshore and offshore for 19 years. With the assistance of a second full-time captain, Brian states, “I am blessed to be able to both do what I love every day and also provide for my family,” which includes his wife and four children, with a set of triplets.
Capt. Brian is again donating to the CCA raffle a half-day in-shore fishing trip for two. With a value of $350, the trip includes all bait, tackle, water, fish cleaning, and fishing license with pick up at Landings Harbor.
