Summer days can be long for children, especially if they are dealing with problems at home. Safe Shelter's Camp Rock is the perfect distraction for these kids to let them know there is more for them through field trips that are fun and educational. For the past 6-8 summers, CCA has participated in helping to acquaint them with fishing and our local environment. Volunteers are critical to ensure successful events.
We are in need of 8-10 volunteers to be "fishing buddies" for 15-20 campers 
from Camp Rock on Tuesday, June 25th. Duties include working with 8-15 year olds with limited fishing experience to bait hooks, cast & handle fish. Volunteers should arrive at the kids lagoon by 9:00 for orientation. Fishing is 9:30-11:00 followed by a demonstration by our local fire department. Volunteer's participation @ the fire department is optional.
