The CCA Skidaway’s 23nd Annual Banquet and Auction takes place
Tuesday, April 23rd 6:00 PM Palmetto Clubhouse.
“For almost a quarter century,” said banquet chairman Tom Rood, “our dinner with its attendant Silent and Live Auctions has become one of our island’s signature events where we look forward to renewing old friendships and introducing newcomers to our CCA Skidaway Chapter.”
Our theme for this year’s dinner is a tribute to CCA’s early achievements, using the distinctive black dotted redfish tail as the graphic element in our phrase, “Our Tail of Success.”
CCA was founded in 1977 by a small group of Texas recreational anglers who had become alarmed by the drastic decline of redfish due to commercial overfishing. Thanks to CCA’s advocacy, only four years later gillnets were eliminated in the state, a critical first step in the restoration of redfish and the growth of CCA in enhancing marine habitats in waters off our coastal states.
Our fund-raising will continue to help CCA in its role as the “voice of the recreational angler” and support a wide range of CCA initiatives that serve to enhance our coastal environments.
Ticket prices are $260.00 per couple and $140.00 per single and includes a new or renewal annual CCA membership (a $55/couple or $35/single value which is sent directly to CCA National) for all attendees.
